These are the times when sadness grips me hard on the neck
And swimming in a sea of strangers without faces offer no comfort
To try and break away from such monotonous mold is futile
I slowly blend in with the color of the dull, grey sky.

I crave nothing else in this world but your warm and loving embrace
To hear your voice that can stop a hundred tears from falling
And your smile, oh your wonderful smile, that is my personal sunbeam
It melts away the ice forming within me, making me feel alive again.

In your arms I am a bleeding warrior but you heal the wounds of war
Your love strengthens me and grants me courage to carry on
And as the day of your return draws near as every second turns
I know life, as I know it, will return and I shall see blue skies once more.
